Final Back Cover with logos

This is our final back cover including all the necassary logos etc. We made the writing black and small text with the same typography as the rest of the back cover so it is fitting to the whole theme. We wanted the text to be back and small so it didn't take any attention from the image and looked very subtle and neatly presented at the bottom of the image. We seen that this was common for many albums and it made ours look more professional.
We went with an image of our filming beach location as this seemed fitting to the whole theme and style we have went for. We edited the image using a programme called instagram with an effect called early bird and this is the colour sceme we have went with for the whole project.

Advert design ideas

This is one of our advert ideas that we decided against using for the final piece. We were influenced to design a advert like this one from an advert poster we saw while filming for our music video. This poster has influenced us alot in this project and we thought the idea of having the images we had from the shoot as the background and then the colour image of our album in the middle as the focus of attention. We decided to use this image in colour so it was a clear link to the rest of the project and fitted to the red balloon beach theme. We used photoshop to put these two designs together and used an effect called feathuring to give the colour image a blended more subtle look to it rather than the sharp harsh change of colour against the black and white background images. We then made the text fit around the oval image, we thought this made it look more professional and helped tie everthing together better.

This is another design we did using photoshop. It clearly shows the influence we got from the advert image poster we saw in south sheilds. We think the design looks good but i dont think the images work together as effectively as they could and the main middle image takes some focus away from the background beach images which are also important as they link with our music video and the calm feel of the album itself. However we had some problems when putting together the images as we needed the advert to be a4 size but because of the size of the background images of the beach it left a blank gap at the bottom and i think this makes the advert look less porfessional and more messy. We considered putting the text and reviews of the album there but decided to try another way instead.

This is another idea we had for our advert that we got influence from the Mumford & Sons advert. We thought by splitting one image up into four it make it made it look like a almost 'scrap book' style effect, this is a way of making the advert and project a more personal piece and tying it well with the album as a whole as it is called the root of memories and a scrap book photo album style is something associated with memories.
