Noah and the whale research

I think this advert is simple but effective as successfully represents the band and their style of music. Because the album is called 'The First Days of Spring' it makes sense to have a bright and spring style colour to the advert. The pale blue in the back ground really brightens up the advert and gives it a warm pleasant feel to it. It also allows the black font that isn't a particularly bold out standing font more visible. Because the typography used is subtle and quite a light style any other colour background could make it less noticeable and this would make the advert less good. By having the artists involved in the advert i think it gives it a more personal feel and helps link the music and the artist to the audience and the person looking at or listening to the album. The pastel style theme of this advert links well with the title of the album that it is promoting. From my research i also found that this image and style was used also as the album art, this meant it makes the artist easily recognised and ties the advert with the album successfully. By having the album name at the top of the advert in the largest font it means its the first thing the audience sees and reads which is a good way of promoting the album itself. The artists name is also the second biggest text of this advert as it is the second most important part. This text is closer to the centre of the ad and this makes it something the audience would be immediately drawn to. This is the type of simple style and simple advert that we would like to focus on for our own work.
