Our Logo
This is the first sketch we have of our logo that we are wanting for the digi pak and the album artwork. We are sticking to using the balloon as the focus of the locus aswell as the focus of the music video. We are wanting the red balloon to be symbolic to the band. We are going to have the bands name on the string as it gives our band a unique feel to others. We want this style of logo to be a kind of limited edition album digi pak and the advert. However on other things involved with the band the text will be more bold and simple as it fits well with the indie pop genre and makes it more of a boyish feel seen as though the band are boys. We are going to create this same picture in photoshop and it will have a cartoon style to it, when doing our research we found that this is quite common for the genre we have picked.
This is quite effective; you might want to consider the symbolism as much as anything (the connotations of the colour red; the implications of a balloon). Make sure you get hold of the storyboard scans from Ellie. Remember - you should aim to use the full capability of the blog. Also, I think you should make sure that you are checking/ commenting on the blogs of the other members of the group in order to make sure you are up to speed with their thinking. Remember - all the planning should be locked by the end of the week; you should really be into production ASAP, so make sure all of your documentation (call sheets, schedules etc.) are uploaded ASAP.
ReplyDeleteHope the shooting has come together - a progress report would be good. If you have the time, it would also be useful to create an animatic - a storyboard edited to the music you're using - in order to demonstrate your thinking in 3 dimensions, as it were. Don't forget - you should be blogging throughout the process.
